They've gotten stale. They've assimilated. But I have come to believe that if any party can be hijacked by the people and turned into a radical instrument, it's the LP. The recent creation of a Libertarian Socialist Caucus and the rise of crypto-anarchist Bitcoin billionaires gives me a little hope on this front, but I'm still not joining yet.Comrade Hermit (Nicky Reid)https://www.blogger.com/profile/15143429283240217518noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5903948190815094163.post-70910553870785617232018-10-23T16:06:19.922-07:002018-10-23T16:06:19.922-07:00"Panarchy doesn't just protect the tribes..."Panarchy doesn't just protect the tribes you like, it protects the tribes you hate."<br /><br />Most self described libertarians are usually quite boastful about how they would defend the rights of others with values foreign to themselves, to espouse and practice those values, that that is what makes libertarians different than the left and right. But I have observed, and I am sure you have observed, that many self described libertarians are willing to bend the rules a bit when it comes to enforcing their own values on others. It is my belief that these people are the reason liberty is not as successful an ideology as it could be, i.e. the blatant hypocrisy of these "libertarians." People like Hans Hoppe are always going to attract a few followers who share their anti-immigrant and anti-gay values to their brand of "libertarianism", but are going to drive away many more potential converts who are perceptive enough to see the inconsistencies in their actual actions, and that these self described libertarian bullies are no different than left wing and right wing bullies. They are even worse, however, in my book, than the left wing and right wing bullies, in that they claim they will not use the State to enforce their values on others, while left wing and right wing bullies are usually up-front and honest about the fact that they think they have a right to enforce their values on others. The Borghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04928718850468526199noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5903948190815094163.post-32773179001809388252018-10-23T15:47:43.885-07:002018-10-23T15:47:43.885-07:00Just noticed from the email updates I get from thi...Just noticed from the email updates I get from this blog, that you are plagued by spam talking about penis enhancement pills, or other things like that. I am wondering if that is actually a good sign that perhaps more people are reading this than it would seem, or at least that it is showing up in search engines more prominently than it would seem. The Borghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04928718850468526199noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5903948190815094163.post-84035258478400234352018-10-23T15:41:14.394-07:002018-10-23T15:41:14.394-07:00"A stated mission I've had since this blo..."A stated mission I've had since this blogs infancy several years back has been to unite the anti-statist fringe into one big revolutionary vanguard against the tyranny of the status quo."<br /><br />Interestingly enough, Comrade, that was, more or less, the stated goal of the LP Radical Caucus co-founded nearly forty years ago by none other than Justin Raimondo. He had a vision of uniting the entire underclass against the State, as he quite perceptively saw the State as either the main oppressor, or the oppression enabler, of these people.
