The USA conquered the ideals of the world by publicly declaiming itself as the land of opportunity since honey captures more flies than flyswatters but these later years of sponsoring vast disguised slavery in a private prison system and overwhelming powers of finance to royally screw up the middle class, destroy both the medical systems under the directions of pharma and insurance profits, destroy public education by frightfully underfunding it, and shipping jobs away to cheap labor sources somehow discouraged appreciating a democracy that was more directed to representatives who were bribed by corporate interests that provided overpriced re-election expenses. Vietnam and Irak and Afghanistan clearly indicated that the massive funding of the military was a total waste of investment. Idiocy is apparently far more deadly than a sword. This, in addition to subsidies and favors (paid for by the violence of theft [taxation]) for fossil fuel industries, has prevented the emergence of a totally cheap, renewable source of energy.

All who take the sword, will perish by it.The Borghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04928718850468526199noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5903948190815094163.post-36819495626079646362020-12-02T01:06:35.487-08:002020-12-02T01:06:35.487-08:00I'm somewhat vague on Karma since I'm not ...I'm somewhat vague on Karma since I'm not a Karmunist but the rapidly approaching disasters of an over heated Earth plus the seductions of our nitwit military establishments who salivate over a nuclear end to everything will gift a few of us with a future on Mars which is an entire planetary desert with no camels. The world of the future that I saw in the 1939 New York World's Fair was a bit off on this wonderful future so I am a bit disillusioned.Jan Sandhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16752070994697464993noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5903948190815094163.post-85988244407394180872020-12-01T23:44:23.602-08:002020-12-01T23:44:23.602-08:00Whether it's actually ghosts of a slaughtered ...Whether it's actually ghosts of a slaughtered people haunting us or not, there is definitely Karma afoot. One cannot simply act violently upon the innocent without it coming back to him. When it is 90% of the people involved in the violence, the blowback consumes the entirety of the population, even the innocent.

There is basically no way to escape our fate. The best we can do is experience the Karmic blowback, and simply cease causing more of it. Then perhaps our grandchildren can actually have a reasonably pleasant life. The Borghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04928718850468526199noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5903948190815094163.post-41586173853895660712020-11-29T23:06:34.113-08:002020-11-29T23:06:34.113-08:00I do not excuse the American experience by noting ...I do not excuse the American experience by noting that a wolf is a wolf or a tiger is a tiger but humanity has, throughout its entire history, behaved consistently in like manner. In this apparently final era wherein the entire planet seems to be changing its mind about supporting human sustenance to, perhaps, taking a more benign attitude towards the octopus or the oyster or, maybe the simple wonder of some form of bacteria. It's been fun while it lasted, for some of us.Jan Sandhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16752070994697464993noreply@blogger.com
